Frequently Asked Questions

Bookings and Payments

1. How do I book my appointment?

  • All appointments are booked online. Choose your service, select the available date and time, and confirm your booking by paying the deposit.
  • You will receive a confirmation email with all the details.
  • The remaining balance is paid on the day of your appointment at the studio.

2. Is the deposit an additional charge?

  • No. The deposit is deducted from the total cost of your service.
  • For example: if you book a Signature Brow Lamination ($90), you pay $45 when booking and $45 on the day of your appointment.
  • The deposit confirms your booking and allows me to block that time exclusively for you.

3. Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment? What happens if I arrive late?

  • You can reschedule up to [XX hours] before your appointment by contacting me via [WhatsApp / email].
  • In that case, your deposit will be transferred to the new date.
  • With less than [XX hours] notice, the deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable: that slot can no longer be assigned to another client.
  • If you arrive more than [15] minutes late, I may need to adjust your service or reschedule it, so as not to affect subsequent appointments.

Before your appointment

4. How should I prepare for my appointment?

Each service has its own recommendations:

Makeup

  • Arrive with a completely clean and makeup-free face.
  • Apply your skincare routine and sunscreen at least 2 hours prior.
  • Bring inspiration photos if you are looking for a specific style.
  • Pluck your eyebrows in advance (no eyebrow plucking is done during makeup appointments).

Hairstyling

  • Hair clean, completely dry, and free of products (oils, hairspray, or creams).
  • If your hair is curly or wavy, bring it brushed and un-straightened.
  • If you will be using clip-in extensions, notify me in advance to include them in the service.

Lashes (lift or extensions)

  • Completely clean eyes: no mascara, eyeliner, or oils.
  • Do not use an eyelash curler on the day of the appointment.
  • Avoid excessive caffeine (it increases eye twitching).

Brows (lamination or waxing)

  • Arrive with clean eyebrows, free of makeup or oils.
  • Avoid plucking at home in the days prior.
  • If you have sensitive skin, let me know so I can use soothing products.

For all services: avoid facial procedures, waxing, tanning, or peels within 3 days prior to your appointment.

5. Can I bring someone with me?

  • The studio is an intimate and small space, designed for you to have a calm and personalized experience.
  • Therefore, I appreciate it if you come alone whenever possible.
  • If you need to come with someone, please message me before your appointment and we can coordinate.

6. Can I get the service if I am pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication, or have sensitive eyes?

  • In most cases, yes, but I need to know before your appointment.
  • Hormonal changes (pregnancy, breastfeeding, menstrual cycle), certain medications (antibiotics, hormonal, thyroid, vitamins), and some health conditions alter how hair responds to treatment.
  • They do not prevent the service, but they can affect the fixation and duration of the result, and therefore in those cases, it is not possible to guarantee the same duration.
  • If you have sensitive skin or eyes, known allergies, or have had a reaction to any product, let me know in advance: I can use soothing products or do a patch test beforehand.
  • If you wear contact lenses, you must remove them before the service.
  • If you are under active medical or dermatological treatment, consult your doctor first.

How to choose your service

7. What is the difference between a Lash Lift and Eyelash Extensions?

  • Lash Lift works on your natural lashes: it lifts and curls them from the root to open up your eyes, without adding material. It's the ideal option if you're looking for a natural, low-maintenance result. You can add tint to achieve a mascara-like effect.
  • Extensions add fibers to each natural lash to provide length, density, and definition. The result is more dramatic but requires periodic fills and daily care.
  • In summary: if you want to forget about maintenance, Lash Lift. If you're looking for maximum impact, extensions.
  • If you're unsure, message me and we can decide based on your lash type and routine.

8. Do extensions damage my natural lashes? Can I remove them at home?

  • No, as long as they are applied and removed professionally.
  • Each set is evaluated individually to respect the thickness and length that your natural lash can support.
  • What does damage them is rubbing, pulling, or trying to remove them at home.
  • When you want to remove them, book the Lash Removal service ($20): it is done with professional product without compromising your natural lashes.

9. Can I book bridal, quinceañera, or special event makeup?

  • Yes.
  • Event Makeup ($130) is booked directly online: social events, guest weddings, graduations, birthdays, and photo shoots. Includes false lashes if desired. You can complement it with Signature Waves (from $60) for hairstyling.
  • Bridal, quinceañera, and artistic or special effects makeup are quoted individually, as they depend on the style, event schedule, location, and number of people to be attended. Message me and I will send you a proposal.
  • For brides and quinceañeras, I recommend booking the Bridal / Quinceañeras Preview ($120): a prior trial to define style, tones, finish, and duration before the big day.

Duration, maintenance, and care

10. How often should I get my extensions refilled? What if I lost many?

  • Ideally, you should schedule your refill every 2 or 3 weeks.
  • Your natural lashes have a constant shedding cycle, so the refill replaces what has fallen out and maintains the density of the set.
  • Refills apply when you retain approximately 50% of the extensions.
  • If you wait longer and retain less, a complete new set will be necessary, as the work required is equivalent.
  • Natural Lash Refill: 2 weeks $60 / 3 weeks $70
  • Hybrid Lash Refill: 2 weeks $70 / 3 weeks $80

11. How long do brow lamination and lash lift last?

  • Between 4 and 6 weeks, depending on your skin type, your care, and natural hair growth.
  • They don't require intermediate maintenance: when the effect starts to fade, book your next appointment.
  • If you tinted your eyebrows, you can refresh the color between appointments with a Hybrid Tint Refresh ($25).

12. What aftercare should I follow after my service?

Brow lamination and lash lift

  • First 24 hours (most important):
    • Do not wet the area.
    • Do not apply makeup, creams, or oils.
    • Avoid steam, sauna, and pool.
    • Do not rub or sleep with your face against the pillow.
  • After 24 hours you can resume your normal routine.
  • Gently brush brows and lashes every morning, use nourishing serum if desired, and avoid alcohol-based products in the area.

Eyelash extensions

  • First 24 to 48 hours:
    • Do not get them wet (no water, steam, or excessive sweat).
    • Do not rub them, touch them, or sleep on your stomach.
    • Do not apply makeup or products near your eyes.
  • Always avoid:
    • Oil-based makeup removers.
    • Waterproof mascara or eyeliners.
    • Eyelash curlers (they already have a curl!).
    • Rubbing or pulling the extensions.
  • Daily: gently brush them with the brush I provide and wash them every 2 days with a specific cleanser.
  • At the end of your appointment, you will receive these instructions in writing.

13. Why didn't my result last as long as I expected? Is there a guarantee touch-up?

  • The result depends 50% on the application and 50% on your care and internal body factors.
  • Internal factors: pregnancy and breastfeeding, menstrual cycle, medications (antibiotics, hormonal, thyroid, vitamins), thyroid problems, stress, low immunity, and alcohol consumption.
  • External factors: high temperatures (sauna, steam, jacuzzi, direct sun), pools and chlorine, creams or oils in the area, sleeping on your stomach or rubbing your eyes, and not respecting the first 24 hours.
  • Therefore, it is not possible to guarantee an exact duration.

Gift Card and Loyalty Card

14. How does the Gift Card work?

  • It is a personal and non-transferable card, valid only for Devota services (brows, lashes, or makeup).
  • Applies to the value or service specified on the card.
  • If the chosen service exceeds that value, the difference is paid on the day of the appointment.
  • It is not refundable or redeemable for cash.
  • It cannot be combined with promotions, discounts, or the loyalty program.
  • Validity: 3 months from the date of purchase.
  • Subject to appointment availability and current booking and cancellation policies.

15. How does the Loyalty Card work?

  • You receive 1 stamp for each paid service. Upon completing 5 stamps, you get a free wax, and upon completing the card with all 10 stamps, you get 20% OFF on the service of your choice.
  • Personal and non-transferable.
  • The benefit is valid only with the complete card.
